Easy Apple Cinnamon Pockets


1 medium Washington Braeburn or Gala apple, peeled and finely chopped
½ cup applesauce
1 teaspoon cinnamon, divided
1 tube (7.5 oz.) refrigerated biscuits
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons sugar


  1. In a large bowl, combine the apple, applesauce and ½ teaspoon of the cinnamon. Stir to combine.
  2. Separate the biscuits; roll each into a 6-inch circle on a floured surface to prevent sticking.
  3. Place the biscuit on a greased baking sheet. Place a heaping tablespoon of the apple mixture in the center of each. Fold in half and pinch the edges to seal. Brush the melted butter on top. Combine the remaining cinnamon with the sugar and sprinkle on top of each biscuit.
  4. Bake at 400° for 8-10 minutes, or until golden. Serve warm.
